Q: What is the Theme of the IAESTE National conference and how will it benefit me?

A:  The theme of the 2010 IAESTE United States National Conference is “Your World, Your Network, Your IAESTE.” During the conference, technical students and professionals from across the United States will come together for an interactive, retreat-style gathering that will examine the skills and tools needed to become a global technical leader. Sessions and workshops will focus on:   Impact of Social Networking and New Technology, Developing Your International Brand, and Global Trends in the Technical Fields.  Conference attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with one another via social events and group sightseeing excursions in the Salt Lake City area.

 

Q: What is the date and venue for the conference?

A: the 2010 National Conference will be held from February 11-14, 2010 at the University of Utah Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Q: What is the daily schedule for the conference?

A: The schedule is still being finalized and will be posted on our website as soon as it is available. The conference will be filled with interesting speakers, IAESTE business, networking opportunities and FUN!

 

Q: Are there arrangements made for the accommodation of the participants?

A: Yes!   Discounted room rates are available in the conference hotel (the University Guest House). Rooms are $89/night for single/double rooms, $99 for triple and $109 for quad accommodations. Reservations must be made no later than 5 PM MT on Thursday January 28, 2010 to receive the discounted rates.

A: The Conference Center and Hotel are part of the Foothill Cultural District of Salt Lake City. Some of Salt Lake's most popular tourist attractions are within walking distance of the Guest House or, at most, a short bus ride away. Enjoy a walk through extensive gardens, visit prestigious museums or the Hogle Zoo.  Also, Salt Lake City’s TRAX light rail system links the Conference Center and Hotel with downtown Salt Lake City and additional attractions.

Q: What is the dress code for the conference?

A: Business attire is required.

 

Q: What meals are included in the registration fees?

A:  Meals included are lunch on Friday and Saturday and the Awards Dinner on Saturday night.  A continental breakfast will also be available at the hotel each morning.

 

Q: Am I eligible for a refund if I cancel my registration?
